About your web purchase...

Where is your order?

Complete System Design, Inc. has received numerous calls about online purchases.  In every case, the caller had been victimized by a fraudulent online seller.  The criminal pretended to sell merchandise online, charged the consumer's credit or debit card then delivered nothing.  The consumer's card statement attributed the sale to cs-di.com or some variant of our internet address.  Consequently consumers are contacting us regarding their online transaction.

Complete System Design, Inc. is an information technology provider.  Our customers are businesses and municipalities.  We do not make any retail sales nor do we accept credit or debit card payments.

Our Recommendation

Please to not call us.  We know nothing about your order.

We recommend that you take the following steps:

  1. Contact your financial institution and report the fraudulent transaction.  Rules vary depending on the jurisdiction, but in many cases your charge will be refunded when the fact of fraud has been confirmed.
  2. Your card information was provided to criminals and there is no telling what they will do with it.  Tell your financial institution that your card information has been compromised and ask that your card be replaced.
  3. Provide your financial institution with as much information as you can about the fraudulent purchase.  This type of crime can be stopped, only if consumers and payment processors are proactive.  Law enforcement needs two key pieces of information to locate and stop the criminals.
1.) The internet address of the vendor, particularly the payment form used to make the fraudulent purchase, 2) The merchant account number used to charge your card.
Any information you can provide about how you found this bogus vendor's web site is helpful.
  4. Not all financial institutions are vigilant about combating cyber-crime, particularly when transaction amounts are small.  If your card company shows a lack of interest in pursuing these criminals, please report the thief to the FBI.  The web address for their Internet Crime Complaint Center is: www.ic3.gov/  It does not matter if the charge was small.  When crooks are successful with a scam they will use it thousands of times.  With your help they can be stopped.

We at complete system Design, Inc. wish you well and safe internet shopping in the future.  Your financial institution may have information on how to avoid future scams.  Also, the website at FraudSupport.org may have helpful information.
