Operations and Support

Design and Support

Beautiful designs  like the iPhone or Dyson vacuum cleaner give the impression that once the product is delivered, no further care or support is needed.  Insulating the customer from the messy business of the inner workings of a system is a hallmark of good design.  The  truth remains, that any product that provides a significant benefit requires an organization to remedy problems when things go awry.

After Systems are Delivered

Much of the efficiency and cost advantage of cloud computing is derived from shared infrastructure.  Additional economies are realized through the integration of existing cloud services.  These environments require constant monitoring to ensure that client systems provide adequate computing capacity and that a modification to one application does not introduce incompatibility into the aggregate system.

Organizational changes, user access, and information security vulnerabilities all require continuous monitoring and operational support.  Small companies cannot afford to recruit and manage the many diverse experts required to support complex applications.

Perpetual Support

Unlike many vendors, CSDI does not turn over systems to clients and leave, looking for the next opportunity.  In our view, a complete system is one that includes operational and administrative support.  The service we deliver includes the administrative and operations capability required to deliver value to our clients.

...at Appropriate Cost

Like shared technical infrastructure, CSDI operators and administrators are shared from a pool of resources, reducing cost while ensuring availability.

In order to change an existing paradigm you do not struggle to try and change the problematic model. You create a new model and make the old one obsolete.
